The Story of Soma Spa
Why the name Soma Spa?
Soma refers to the Som juice prepared from the extract of a plant called Soma.
सोम refers to the “drink of the gods”.
Soma is also taken as Sa+Uma, which means someone who is accompanied by Uma. This refers to the Ardhanareeshvara form of Shiva where Shiva and His consort, Parvati are merged limb to limb in a single form with each taking half of the body form.

Our Founders
Soma Spa, owned by the dynamic Marathi couple Dr. Ashwini and Dr. Swapnil, stands as a testament to their passion for both medicine and exploration. With their extensive medical background and a shared love for travel, they have infused Soma Spa with a vision of providing premium-quality Ayurvedic and traditional spa therapies that are both cost-effective and therapeutically enriching.
Dr. Swapnil Patil
Dr. Swapnil is highly skilled pain management specialist who owns Soma Spa. With a fervent passion for creating a therapeutic haven, he has established a unique medicinal spa in Pune dedicated to addressing various types of muscular pains. At Soma Spa, we integrate the power of massage therapy, physiotherapy, Ayurvedic treatments, and allopathic modalities, offering a comprehensive approach that maximizes benefits for our valued patients. While we currently do not offer advanced medicinal spa therapies like LASER, we are committed to continuously enhancing our services to meet your needs and preferences in the near future.
Dr. Ashwini Patil
Dr. Ashwini is an esteemed Ayurveda specialist and holds an MD in Ayurvedic medicines and formulations. Her expertise and dedication to Ayurveda are reflected in the meticulous crafting of our medicines and oils, all made by hand with the purest ingredients and freshly prepared for your well-being. Rest assured that our highly trained staff, under the expert guidance of Dr. Ashwini, conducts all Ayurveda therapies, including Panchakarma, ensuring you receive the utmost care and therapeutic benefits during your visit.
